This is my go-to quick pizza crust recipe. Mix it up, knead a few minutes and it's ready to go! Holds up well with many ingredients! My tahini cheese sauce goes great on pizza, so be sure to check out that recipe here. You can also customize the crust and add whatever spices to it! Garlic and herb crust is my favourite to make.
Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cups brown rice flour
1/2 cup tapioca starch (I've used cornstarch here too)
1 teaspoon xanthan gum
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon oil
3/4 cup water
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
-Add in oil and water.
-Use a fork to mix the liquid into the dry ingredients. Once it's mostly incorporated, switch to using your hand to mix everything and start forming a dough ball.
-You may need to add 1 or 2 more tablespoons of water if it's too crumbly still, or a little extra flour and/or starch if it's too wet.
-Once you have a dough ball you're happy with, knead it around in the bowl for a few minutes.
-Press it out on a parchment lined baking sheet and use a fork to poke holes in it.
-Pop it in the oven for about 10 minutes while you prepare your pizza toppings, add pizza toppings and cook your pizza like usual.
-Enjoy!
Notes:
-Sometimes I use baking powder to give the crust a little rise, but it does make the dough crack quite a bit.
